High shear emulsifier is a commonly used type of emulsifier. What are the advantages of a high shear emulsifier? Let's learn together!
Working principle of high shear emulsifier
A high shear emulsifier uses the shear force generated by the high-speed rotation of the stator and rotor to perform high-speed shear on two incompatible phases, uniformly distributing one or more phases into another continuous phase. The high-speed rotation of the rotor generates high tangential velocity and high-frequency mechanical effects, causing the material to undergo a comprehensive process of shearing, centrifugal extrusion, liquid layer friction, impact tearing, and turbulence in the narrow gap between the stator and rotor. The immiscible phases are uniformly and finely dispersed and emulsified under the joint action of the high shear emulsifier and additives, and then undergo high-frequency circulation.
The mixing, crushing, dispersing, emulsifying and other functions of high shear technology can effectively solve the problems of crushing and emulsifying various materials. Compared with traditional production processes, high shear emulsifiers have the advantages of low energy consumption, high product quality, commitment, and ultra refinement.
